RoughRiders Alum, Nate Clurman makes his NHL Debut

Congratulations to RoughRiders and Boulder Hockey Club Alumni, Nate Clurman on making his NHL debut on December 29th with the Pittsburgh Penguins.   

Clurman is a 1998 Defenseman from Boulder, CO.  Nate Clurman began his hockey career with the Boulder Hockey Club before joining the RoughRiders Tier 1 program. His journey continued at Culver Academy, followed by time in the USHL, where he honed his skills as a standout player. Clurman played his collegiate years for Notre Dame, being named Captain his senior year.  Clurman was drafted by the Colorado Avalanche in 2016 in the 6th round.  He went on to spend five years in the semi-professional ranks, playing in both the ECHL and AHL, further refining his game at the highest levels.   

Clurman’s hard work and dedication culminated in a major milestone when he made his NHL debut with the Pittsburgh Penguins last night, marking the next exciting chapter in his professional career.
